What’s the difference between the Harry Potter original child books and the Adult editions?
The only difference between the two editions are the covers of the books. The reason they created Adult Versions of Harry Potter was because when adults wanted to read Harry Potter books, they felt ashamed to pick up a book with children’s character on them. So with this in mind, the covers of these book have either pictures or very different art work – looking like an Adult book; with the inside exactly the same story as the children’s book. This was a very smart marketing technique to ensure that this book was read by not just children but by Adults of all ages – thus increasing her readership population!
